As part of the worldwide Mother's Union, we share in a long tradition of Christian faith, compassion, and service. For over 150 years, Mother's Union has been bringing hope and practical support to families and communities across the world, working to overcome poverty, violence, and injustice.
Here in Banwell, we seek to make a difference through friendship, prayer, fellowship, fundraising, and practical acts of kindness. We support the work of the worldwide Mother's Union by raising donations for the many projects and charities that provide hope and practical help to vulnerable families and communities both in the UK and across the world.
Whether you are exploring faith, looking for friendship, or wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of others, you will find a warm welcome with us. Together, we believe that even the smallest act of kindness, rooted in God's love, can help build stronger families, healthier communities, and a more hopeful future.

Meet With Us
Banwell Mother's Union meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 2:30pm at the Banwell Youth & Community Centre.
Our meetings are a wonderful opportunity to enjoy friendship, fellowship, and inspiring speakers on a wide range of topics. Throughout the year we also organise group outings and social events, giving members the chance to explore new places, make lasting friendships, and have fun together.
Visitors are always welcome to come along and see what we do.

150 Years of Faith, Service and Fellowship
This year, Mothers' Union is celebrating an incredible milestone, 150 years of faith, service and fellowship.
Founded in 1876 by Mary Sumner, Mothers' Union has grown into a worldwide Christian organisation, bringing people together to support families and communities through prayer, practical action and compassionate service.
June was a particularly special month in this anniversary year, with members gathering at St Paul's Cathedral and the Annual Gathering in London. Welcoming members from across the global Mothers' Union family, these celebrations offered an opportunity to reflect on the organisation's rich heritage, give thanks for God's faithfulness over the past 150 years, and look forward with hope and confidence to the future.
Banwell 150 Bags for Ukraine
As we mark this remarkable anniversary, we celebrate not only the history of Mothers' Union but also its continued mission. The values that inspired the organisation 150 years ago, faith, compassion and service, remain at the heart of its work today, continuing to make a lasting difference in the lives of families and communities around the world.
Here in Banwell, we are proud to be part of this global fellowship. To mark this special anniversary, our branch is supporting the Mothers' Union "150 Bags" campaign, collecting donations to fill 150 bags with essential items for people affected by the war in Ukraine.
We warmly invite our local community to support this appeal. Donations can be brought to St Andrew's Church, Banwell, where they will be gratefully received before being sent on to help those in need. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a practical expression of God's love and compassion.
As we celebrate 150 years of Mothers' Union, we give thanks for all that has been achieved and look forward to continuing to share faith, hope and love in our community and beyond.
